IAEA Chief Rafael Grossi Confirms Iran Lacks Nuclear Weapons Amid Regional Tensions

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, IAEA Director General Rafael Grossi stated during recent remarks that Iran currently lacks nuclear weapons. This international official had previously remained silent in the face of attacks by the United States and the Israeli regime against Iran’s peaceful nuclear infrastructure. In contrast, Iranian officials have repeatedly emphasized the peaceful nature of the country’s atomic activities through extensive engagement with the agency.
Without addressing the issue of the agency’s espionage regarding Iran’s nuclear data, Grossi claimed that the country’s atomic program possesses dimensions that go far beyond standard practices and include concerning aspects for which Tehran has failed to provide necessary transparency to the international body. He also noted that Iran continues the uranium enrichment process at 60 percent purity, making it the sole nation that enriches uranium to this level despite not possessing nuclear weapons.
The IAEA chief further stated that, as a diplomat, he has consistently sought diplomatic and political solutions, noting that up to the time of the latest inspections at the Kolang mountain facility, no nuclear equipment or activities had been observed inside it, urging that public opinion should not be confused since Tehran does not have nuclear weapons. In conclusion, he alleged that the physical structure of Iran’s nuclear program suffered severe damage following recent attacks.
