What is your analysis of Iran’s drone and missile attack against Israel?

Iran’s operation was a limited and calculated attack and it had already warned about this. Since Iran did not want this operation to turn into a regional war and avoided Israel’s provocations, it carried out limited operations. In fact, it was the right thing to do. Iran showed a small example of what it can do against Israel, and a large and intelligent military operation took place.

How successful was this attack and what were the costs imposed on Israel?

According to the criteria of success, in my opinion it was a successful operation. That is, Iran became the first country that directly attacked Israel. Also, it seems that Iranian missiles, especially ballistic missiles, have hit some sensitive airports. Of course, the amount of damage will be determined in the end. But it is important that Iran showed that it can do this. When we look at the matter from this point of view, we can say that this operation should not be underestimated. I am sure it will be a lesson for the United States.

They have attacked everywhere. Therefore, their evaluation of Iran’s legitimate right to respond as a “military aggression” should not be taken seriously. The operation carried out by Iran was a response to the attack on the consulate building. In fact, Iran acted responsibly in this field and carried out limited operations.

What is the role of this attack in weakening Israel’s deterrence and strengthening Iran’s deterrence?

Israel has a cabinet that is literally in the hands of extremists politically, and there is very little chance of these extremists losing power. Even if Netanyahu goes, it is very likely that the individuals or groups that will replace him will compete with each other in terms of extremism. We may temporarily see people or a more moderate cabinet come to power in Israel, but the problem is that Israel does not even intend to compromise with the Palestinians on a two-state solution.

For example, using the pretext of Hamas’s presence in Gaza, it carries out ethnic cleansing and genocide, but on the other hand, it does not engage in any meaningful negotiations about two states with Mahmoud Abbas and the Palestinians living in the West Bank are not.
