Signing of 10 contracts between Afghanistan and Turkmenistan in Herat

According to the regional office of Tasnim News Agency, “Nooruddin Azizi, the Minister of Industry and Trade of the Taliban government, during his visit to Herat Province and meeting with “Noker Gholi Atakhliv”, the head of the Union of Turkmen Industrialists, signed 10 contracts and two commercial memorandums.

Azizi said in this meeting that the best opportunity to expand trade and economic relations between Afghanistan and Turkmenistan has been prepared. He announced that these contracts and memorandums are in the construction sector, including rebar, paint, marble, and edible materials, and the value of these contracts is over 200 million dollars.

Afghan experts Referring to the meetings of the Taliban government delegation with the high officials of Turkmenistan, they had previously announced that if large projects such as “Tapi”, electricity import and railway cooperation are implemented, Turkmenistan will become one of Afghanistan’s important economic partners.
