The opposition of two members of the American Congress to the resolution “Israel’s right to exist”

The absolute majority of the US House of Representatives approved the resolution of the Zionist regime's right to exist, while 15,000 Palestinians have been martyred during this regime's war against Gaza.

According to the report of Fars News Agency International Group, the US House of Representatives on Tuesday with an overwhelming majority passed a resolution on the recognition of “Israel’s right to exist” and among all the Democratic representatives and the Republicans, only two of them did not vote positively for the approval of this resolution.

According to “Business Insider”, “Rashida Tlaib” Democratic representative of Michigan State and “Thomas Massey” The Republican representative of the state of Kentucky was the only person who did not vote in favor of the resolution on Tuesday of the US House of Representatives to “recognize the existence of Israel”.

Proposal It was mentioned by “Mike Lawler”, the Republican representative of New York state, and the rights of the Zionist regime were mentioned in it. This is despite the fact that the said resolution did not mention the Palestinians and their rights on the occupied territories.

Talib said in a statement after the resolution was approved: The aforementioned ignores the existence of the Palestinian people… and does not bring us closer to any peaceful coexistence”.

America has stated: “denying Israel’s right to exist is a form of anti-Semitism.” This section was opposed by Thomas Massey, and he wrote in this regard on the social network X (Twitter): Anti-Semitism is an unfortunate act, but criticism of Israel should not be considered a part of it.

This Republican member of the US House of Representatives stated that the most important reason for his opposition to the said resolution is that “anti-Semitism” and “anti-Zionism” are considered equal and equal in this resolution.

This is not the first time that the US House of Representatives votes on a resolution like the aforementioned resolution in support of the Zionist regime, however, it may be considered the first resolution that most members of the so-called “squad” group except for Rashida Tlaib, they voted for it; An issue that shows the division between the members of this group over the issue of Palestine and the Zionist regime during the Gaza war. Talib criticized the provisions of the said resolution. It is very important that the Palestinian people have the right to live in their historical land with equal rights and freedom. Not that they are always subject to racial discrimination and are seen as second class citizens.

Rashida Tlaib called the said resolution a one-sided attempt to rewrite the history of Palestine and the regime. He considered it to be Zionist and said that even the smallest and smallest rights of the Palestinian people were not taken into account in it. The issue that the Zionist regime does not have the right to illegally occupy Palestinian lands and apartheid has not been mentioned. Earlier this month, he was condemned in a resolution by the majority of the members of the American House of Representatives for spreading false narratives about the Gaza war and calling for the destruction of the Zionist regime.
