New American Abrams tanks arrived in Poland

Newsweek reported that 14 US-supplied M1 Abrams tanks and another armored vehicle were delivered to a NATO-built military equipment storage facility in Poland. it is arrived. 

In this report, it is not clear if these tanks will be transferred to Ukraine immediately or if it is just part of the measures to strengthen NATO in Eastern Europe. 

It is estimated that Ukraine currently has 31 Abrams tanks. Ukrainian soldiers who operate the vehicles told CNN in May that the tanks lack the armor to stop modern weapons. Meanwhile, US military officials told The Associated Press in April that the tanks would be withdrawn from the battlefield due to their vulnerability to Russian drones.

In March, a video appeared on social media showing an American Abrams tank being set on fire on the front lines of the war in Ukraine during a drone strike. At that time, Russian media reported that Moscow forces targeted 3 tanks near “Audioka”.
