Former Israeli PM Bennett Accuses Netanyahu of Lying to Evade Accountability for October 7 Failures

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, former Israeli Prime Minister Naftali Bennett has launched a strong criticism against the current Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, alleging that Netanyahu is employing a strategy of spreading falsehoods and portraying security forces as adversaries in an attempt to absolve himself of direct responsibility for the October 7th “Al-Aqsa Flood” attack.

Bennett stated that this approach is designed to shift responsibilities and deflect accusations from Netanyahu. These remarks come amidst recent accusations by Sara Netanyahu, the Prime Minister’s wife, who alleged that Yair Golan, a former Deputy Chief of Staff of the Israeli army, was aware of the “Al-Aqsa Flood” operation on October 7th in advance.

Golan has refuted these accusations and indicated his intention to sue the Prime Minister’s wife. A party affiliated with Golan asserted that instead of apologizing for security lapses, Netanyahu is attempting to evade accountability for the incident.

While Netanyahu’s cabinet has reportedly obstructed the formation of an official committee to investigate security gaps three years after the “Al-Aqsa Flood” operation, his wife has insisted on the establishment of an investigative committee to examine potential treachery among Israeli officials. Gadi Eisenkot, a key rival of Netanyahu, commented that the Prime Minister is attempting to escape the consequences of what he described as the greatest failure in the “fabricated history” of the Israeli regime.
