The Colombian rebel group reached a ceasefire agreement with the government

Segunda Marcotalia, an opposition faction of the armed revolutionary rebels of Colombia known as FARC (FARC), said: After negotiations with the Colombian government held in Venezuela, it decided to “unilaterally cease fire” and release the prisoners.

This rebel group said in a statement: In the first period, we discussed the functioning of the round table, dealing with disputes, defining the date and place of the next cycle and the initial measures to reduce tension, so we reached an agreement on the relevant protocols. 

Parties involved in these negotiations asked Cuba to host the next stage of negotiations scheduled for August.

The armed forces of Colombia, known as FARC, is a guerilla organization with a socialist mindset in Latin America, although on September 26, 2016, after 60 years of bloody war, they signed a peace agreement with the Colombian government, but some of its elements Once again they took up arms and entered the armed phase.
