The President of Ukraine responded to Gaff Biden, who called him "Putin", and said that it can be forgotten because of Washington's support for Kiev.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy, who visited Ireland, said in response to reporters’ questions about Biden’s gaffe and confusing him with Putin that it was just a “mistake”.

According to the Independent, Zelensky said: “It was a mistake. I think that America has supported the Ukrainians a lot and we can forget some mistakes.”

U.S. President Joe Biden made several verbal mistakes at the NATO summit yesterday, which provoked many reactions. Biden’s most important gaffe was that he confused Volodymyr Zelensky with “Vladimir Putin”. “And now I want to give it to the president of Ukraine, who has as much courage as his will,” he said when he wanted to introduce the president of Ukraine to sit behind the podium. Ladies and gentlemen: President Putin! And then, trying to correct his speech, he said, “Putin… I want to beat Putin. [I said this], because I am very focused on defeating Putin. President Zelensky”.

“I’m better than him [Putin],” Zelensky said after standing behind the podium, trying to change the atmosphere. Biden’s slip of the tongue has received a lot of attention since yesterday and has become a source of jokes for users in cyberspace.

It should be said that since the beginning of the war in Ukraine, the US Congress has approved 5 aid packages worth more than 175 billion dollars for Ukraine. Joe Biden also announced a significant military aid package to Ukraine on Thursday at the NATO summit. It is said that this package is worth 225 million dollars and contains the Patriot missile battery and Stinger anti-aircraft missiles.
