In response to the failed assassination of the former US president in Pennsylvania, the President of China expressed sympathy with him.

reported by Mehr News Agency According to Xinhua, Chinese President Xi Jinping reacted to the unsuccessful assassination of Donald Trump, the former president and current candidate for the 2024 US presidential election.

The spokesperson of the Chinese Foreign Ministry expressed sympathy with Trump in a statement quoting from Jinping. The statement of the Chinese Foreign Ministry said: China is closely following the circumstances related to the shooting of Donald Trump, the former (US) president.

Trump was attacked behind the podium less than 10 minutes after the start of his campaign rally in Butler, Pennsylvania. At the time of the shooting, he was giving a speech about immigration when several gunshots were heard. After a while, he covered his ears with his hands and then lay down on the ground under the guidance of his security team.

According to the latest reports, Trump survived with a minor injury and a bullet hit his right ear. The US Secret Service shot and killed the assailant, identified as Thomas Matthew Crooks. In this incident, one person present in the gathering was killed and 2 others were seriously injured.

Trump and Joe Biden, the current president of the United States, are the two candidates for the November presidential election in this country. In the first election debate of these two candidates, the American president was heavily criticized due to his lack of control and poor performance, and after this debate, speculations about the possibility of replacing him with another candidate for the Democratic Party have risen.
