Harris’ headquarters clarified the task of the election debates with Trump

The vice president of the United States and the Democratic candidate for the 2024 presidential election announced that he will participate in a total of 2 election debates.

reported by Mehr News Agency, citing Hill, Kamala Harris, Vice President of the US President Joe Biden, who is also considered the candidate of the Democratic Party in the presidential elections in November, officially announced that in two election debates with Donald Trump Republican candidate will participate.

Harris campaign announced in a statement that “the controversy about the debates and the cat and mouse game between Trump and Vance is over.”

Part of this statement reads: Assuming Donald Trump shows up for the September 10th debate with Harris, then Waltz will debate JD Vance on October 1st, and the American people will once again They have the opportunity to see the Vice President debate Donald Trump in October. Voters deserve to see and hear their candidate’s cross-examination for the nation’s highest office. Harris had previously agreed to host a debate with Trump on September 10th on ABC News. Trump said that he agrees with two other proposed debates, one on September 4 and the other on September 25, hosted by Fox News and NBC News.

However, a statement from Harris’ headquarters clarified that he will not participate in the two Fox News and NBC News debates and will instead participate in a debate in October. Also, Minnesota Governor Tim Waltz as Harris’ choice and Ohio State Senator J.D. Vance as Trump’s running mate have agreed to host a debate on October 1, hosted by CBS News.
