Gulf Arab States Convey Concerns to U.S. Over Iran Sanctions Realism

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, newspaper Rai al-Youm, citing Western political circles, has reported that officials from Arab countries in the Persian Gulf region have formally informed the United States that the U.S. Treasury Secretary’s approach to economic warfare against Iran is not realistic and cannot be adapted to geographical realities and proximity.

Based on this report, at least the United Arab Emirates, Oman, and Qatar, unlike European countries, have shown no enthusiasm for the U.S. Treasury Department’s resolutions.

The report indicates that some foreign countries, including Qatar, are prepared to declare their non-adherence to the United States’ anti-Iran economic decisions, as these decisions are deemed unrealistic, would create a perpetual crisis in the region, and impede all potential pathways to peace.
