Yervan and Baku started negotiations for future peace last year with the mediation of Russia, the European Union and the United States. Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said at the end of May last year that Yerevan is ready to recognize the sovereignty of the Republic of Azerbaijan in the borders of the former Soviet Union, including Nagorno-Karabakh.
