5.4 million people in Haiti face acute food insecurity

The United Nations announced that 5.4 million people in Haiti are facing an acute food insecurity crisis and almost half of the country's population needs humanitarian aid.

reported by The United Nations Office in Geneva announced in a statement on X that almost half of the Haitian population needs humanitarian assistance, and most of these people are women and children.

In this message, the necessity of safe and unhindered access to all areas of the capital, Port-au-Prince, and throughout the country is also emphasized to deliver the needed aid.
