Extension of the US state of emergency against Iran
According to Webangah News quoted by Mehr News Agency quoted by C An An, Joe Biden, the President of the United States today once again extended the state of national emergency against Iran for another one-year period.
In Biden‘s letter to Congress, Executive Order 12170, issued on November 14, 1979, against Iran was issued after November 14 this year, it will remain in force for another year.
Jimmy Carter, the president of America at the time, announced the first national emergency executive order against Iran in October 1979. According to this executive order, the assets of the Iranian people in the United States were confiscated.
However, former US President Bill Clinton issued a new executive order in March 1995, adding sanctions to this executive order.
