Putin: Orshnik will be stationed in Belarus

The Russian president says that the Orshnik supersonic ballistic missile will likely be deployed in Belarus soon. 

reported by Mehr News Agency According to Reuters, Russian President Vladimir Putin announced the imminent deployment of the Orshnik medium-range hypersonic missile on the territory of Belarus.

Putin responded to the request of Alexander Lukashenko, the president of Belarus, during a summit in the country’s capital, Minsk. In this meeting, Putin and Lukashenko signed an agreement on mutual defense cooperation.

The President of Russia said about this: Since we have signed an agreement on security guarantees using all available tools and forces, I consider it possible to deploy systems such as the Orshanik missile on the territory of the Republic of Belarus. .

He added: I think that this will be possible in the second half of the next year because the production chain of these systems has increased in Russia and these missile systems have become available to the strategic forces of Russia.

Russia in response to Ukraine’s use of American “Atcoms” and British “Storm Shadow” ballistic missiles in the raw depth of Russia with a green light from the West, November 21, for the first time from the Orshnik missile in the city used the Dnipro of Ukraine.

Putin has emphasized that if Ukraine continues to use Western long-range missiles against Moscow, it is possible to use Orshanik again to attack Ukraine, including “decision-making centers” in Kiev.
