The US Geological Survey announced that an earthquake measuring 7.4 on the Richter scale shook Port Vila, the capital of the Republic of Vanuatu, on Tuesday.
This earthquake occurred at a depth of 10 kilometers and caused damage to the buildings of the American, English, French and New Zealand embassies.
Reports indicate that one person was killed as a result of this earthquake.
The United States Warning Center announced that the tsunami warning issued after the earthquake in Vanuatu has been canceled.
