Reopening of the Saudi Embassy in Afghanistan
According to Webangah News quoted by Mehr News Agency quoted by E M yo TV Saudi Arabia once again resumed the diplomatic activity of its embassy in Kabul, the capital of Afghanistan.
In the statement published on this regarding by Saudi Arabia, it is stated: Embassy of the Kingdom Saudi Arabia in Kabul has started its activity from Sargoveh since Sunday, December 22 and is providing diplomatic and consular services.
This statement adds: The resumption of the diplomatic activity of the Saudi embassy shows Riyadh’s commitment to strengthening brotherly relations and bilateral cooperation between the government of Afghanistan and Saudi Arabia.
After the fall of the Afghan government in August 2021, many foreign embassies tried to close made their offices in this country.
Saudi Arabia embassy staff also finally left Kabul on February 5, 2023 due to what were called security concerns.
