The Italian journalist arrested in Tehran was released

According to Webangah News quoted by Mehr News Agency, English newspaper Guardian, confirmed the return of the Italian journalist arrested in Tehran to his country.

The Guardian quoted the Italian Prime Minister’s office as saying “Cecilia Sala” Italian journalist who was detained in Iran, was released on Wednesday and will return to Italy.

In the statement of the Italian Prime Minister’s Office, it is stated that the plane carrying this 29-year-old Italian journalist took off from Tehran after diplomatic and intelligence efforts. This flight is supposed to arrive at Rome airport at 15:30 local time.

This Italian journalist was arrested on December 19 for violating the laws of the Islamic Republic, three days after entering our country.

The Ministry of Guidance of our country earlier announced that the case of this Italian journalist is under investigation. And the Italian embassy in Tehran is in the process of arresting him.
