After returning to the White House, Trump told reporters: He (Putin) must make an agreement. I think he is destroying Russia by not agreeing. I imagine that Russia will be in big trouble!
While Trump has adopted this unusual critical position against Putin, who has always praised him in the past!
The US president also said that he is preparing to meet with Putin. Their previous meeting during the first term of Trump’s presidency was caught in the media because Trump seemed to prefer Putin’s statements to what American intelligence claimed.
Trump added: I got along very well with him and I hope he wants an agreement. He should not be happy that he is not doing his job well. I mean, he’s worked hard, but people thought the war would be over in about a week, and now it’s been three years, right?
According to Trump, the Russian economy has been severely damaged by inflation. The American president also claimed that Volodymyr Zelensky, the president of Ukraine, told him that he wanted a peace agreement to end the war!
