According to Al-Arabi Al-Jadeed website, all the equipment, materials and facilities needed for the construction of this camp arrived in Khan Yunis a few days ago. The Egyptian Red Crescent announced on Wednesday last week that it plans to build a camp in Gaza on the orders of Abdel Fattah al-Sisi
The first organized camp in Gaza
Al-Arabi Al-Jadeed wrote that the mentioned camp is supposed to accommodate 7 thousand displaced people and is the first camp that will provide all the needs of its residents from tents, sanitary facilities, food and water. The decision to build this camp was made by the Egyptian government after the concerns among Cairo authorities about the influx of refugees from Gaza to Egypt intensified.
More than 1.5 million People from the north of Gaza have gone to Khan Yunis and Rafah, and the Israeli army is trying to send more people to Rafah to carry out its military operations more easily. In the meantime, the increase in the number of refugees in Rafah is a big alarm for the Egyptian government. During the past weeks, the population of Rafah has increased to more than 1.2 million people.

On the other hand, one of the employees of the Egyptian Red Crescent team said: The first stage of the establishment of this camp includes the installation of 300 tents along with providing water and necessary assistance to the displaced and a mobile medical center inside the camp. It is to treat the displaced people and create a land bridge for aid to enter on a daily basis. The first phase includes the creation of tents for 7,000 displaced people, and in the next phase, the camp will expand to welcome more than 20,000 displaced people. Other camps will be established in the west of Rafah and Khan Yunis.
Egypt’s attempt to control the population of displaced people in Gaza, while the Egyptian authorities, especially Abdel Fattah al-Sisi, have emphasized more than once that Any move by Israel to forcibly relocate the people of Gaza to Egypt will be a declaration of war.
