Red Jinping’s hand at the official invitation of Brussels

reports Mehr News Agency Financial Times, Chinese President Shi Jinping, has rejected an invitation to attend a ceremony hosted by Brussels on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the EU -Beijing diplomatic relations.

quoted by Financial Times quoting two sources as saying that EU officials have informed EU officials that Chinese Prime Minister Lee Chiang will meet with the European Council and European Commission instead of Ginping.

Financial Times added that although the Chinese prime minister usually attends Brussels summit and the Chinese president is hosting Beijing, the EU has asked Shi Jinping to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the parties’ relations.

After the Russian invasion of Ukraine in February, tension between Brussels and Beijing has exacerbated China of supporting the Kremlin. The European Union also imposed tariffs against the import of Chinese electric cars last year.
