Kremlin: Putin calls Trump late today

Trump earlier announcing an imminent conversation with Putin told reporters that he intended to focus on territorial and infrastructure issues in the Ukrainian war.

This telephone conversation has intertwined with the anniversary of the Crimean Peninsula’s accession to Russia. Putin and the Crimean leaders signed the formal accession to Moscow on March 4 and Sostopol.

Putin and Trump’s previous phone call was made February 5. This was the first conversation between Russian and US leaders in the last three years. Putin and Trump discussed Ukraine for an hour and a half, as well as the problems accumulated in Moscow-Washington relations.
