Behind the Scenes of Netanyahu’s Upcoming Visit to Azerbaijan
Hebrew-Language Newspaper Discusses Zionist Regime Prime Minister’s Objectives for Azerbaijan Visit
According to the English section of Webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency, Benjamin Netanyahu, the Prime Minister of the Zionist regime, is set to visit Baku, the capital of Azerbaijan, on an official trip in the first half of next May.
The Hebrew-language Israeli newspaper Yisrael Hayom reported that Netanyahu will meet with the President of Azerbaijan. The visit falls within the framework of Baku’s mediation efforts between Tel Aviv and Ankara regarding Syria and preventing clashes between the two sides.
The newspaper added that another objective of Netanyahu’s visit is to encourage Azerbaijan’s accession to normalization agreements—deals signed between Tel Aviv and several Arab countries during Trump’s first presidential term.
They are expected to discuss ways to strengthen bilateral relations, expand cooperation with the U.S. in economic and security fields, and increase what they call the Zionist regime’s influence in Central Asia through Baku.
