Al-Azhar Warns of Rising Terrorist Attacks in Europe and America Following Stabbing of Worshipper in France
The English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency and Al Jazeera, reports that Egypt’s Al-Azhar has condemned the killing of a 24-year-old worshipper inside the Khadija Mosque near the city of Alès in southeastern France.
The victim was stabbed multiple times in a terrorist attack while prostrating during prayer at the mosque.
In its statement, Al-Azhar warned: “We alert [the world] to the escalation of terrorist activities in Europe and America under hollow and malicious slogans promoting white supremacy and other extremist rhetoric.”
the statement further emphasized: “A global security strategy must be adopted to counter this terrorist approach and halt crimes against Muslims.”
