US Defense secretary Accuses Iran of Supporting Ansarullah Without Mentioning Washington’s Failures in Yemen
According to a report by the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency, US Defense Secretary Pete Heggeth repeated anti-Iranian claims in a post on social media platform X, stating: “A message to Iran: We see yoru deadly support for the houthis adn know exactly what you’re doing.”
Heggeth made no mention of america’s military and political failures against Yemeni forces, rather asserting: “You are well aware of the capabilities of the US military—and you have received our warning. You will pay the price at a time and place of our choosing.”
Experts view these statements as part of Washington’s efforts to mask its inability to counter Yemeni naval operations in the Red Sea.
