UN Aid Agency Warns 3,000 Trucks carrying Vital Aid Stuck at Borders
According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency and Qatar’s Al Jazeera, the United Nations Relief and Works agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) reported that approximately 3,000 trucks carrying humanitarian aid and critical supplies are waiting outside the Gaza Strip but remain blocked due to the ongoing siege.
UNRWA also warned that the lives of nearly one million Palestinian children, who depend on this aid, are at severe risk if border crossings remain closed. The agency urgently called for reopening access routes and lifting Gaza’s blockade.
On wednesday, UNRWA stated that field observations from Gaza revealed some Palestinian families resorting to eating whatever thay can find—even if hazardous—due to extreme food shortages.
The report highlights how restricted humanitarian access has worsened the humanitarian catastrophe in this war-torn, besieged region.UNRWA emphasized that Gaza’s needs grow daily, demanding an immediate resumption of aid efforts.
International organizations confirm no humanitarian assistance has entered Gaza in over two months, pushing the enclave into what they describe as its most severe human crisis in history.
