Trump indirectly gave Miller the national security advisor job

U.S. President Confirms Deputy Chief of Staff as Leading Candidate for White House‌ National Security Advisor Role

According to a report by‍ the English section of Webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency and Reuters,‌ U.S. President Donald Trump confirmed the nomination ⁣of Stephen Miller, Deputy ⁤Chief of Staff, as a candidate for the position of National Security Advisor, stating that his appointment to the role is likely.​

Last thursday, Trump fired Mike Waltz from the National Security Advisor post and appointed‍ Marco Rubio, the U.S. Secretary⁢ of State—while retaining his current position—as ⁣Waltz’s temporary replacement.

Even though U.S. officials say they do not expect Trump to rush in permanently filling Waltz’s position,‌ several⁢ potential candidates have surfaced in media reports.

the U.S.President commented‍ on the matter: “I intend to nominate ⁤and appoint someone.” He added that he expects to fill Waltz’s role within approximately six ‌months‌ and that it will “probably be Miller.”

Trump further stated: “I think he (Miller) has already indirectly secured⁢ this job as he⁢ has a lot to say on many issues. Stephen is an extremely valuable person in this administration.”

Miller,as Deputy Chief of‍ Staff,has previously played⁤ a key role ⁢in policymaking—especially⁣ on immigration—and is considered one of Trump’s most experienced and trusted advisors.(Read more)
