Russian President Stresses in Meeting with Chinese Counterpart: development of Beijing-Moscow Relations is Based on the Interests of Both Nations and Not Against Other Countries.
According to the English section of the webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency and Al Jazeera, Chinese President Xi Jinping stated today, Thursday, after meeting his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin in the Kremlin: “We firmly defend the interests of China, Russia, and the international community.”
The chinese president added: “Political mutual trust between China and Russia has deepened significantly.”
As reported by Russia Today, Xi Jinping further noted: “I am pleased to participate in the celebrations marking the 80th anniversary of Victory Day. China stands ready to defend the historical truth of World War II alongside Russia.”
On his part, Russian President Vladimir putin emphasized during this meeting: “Russia-China relations are balanced and prioritized for mutual benefit. The development of ties between Beijing and Moscow is based on serving our peoples’ interests—not targeting other nations. Xi Jinping’s visit to Moscow holds great importance for Russia. I am prepared to visit China again soon. Our bilateral cooperation aligns with both sides’ interests. The governments of Russia and China are working diligently to implement all joint agreements fully. Together, we uphold historical truths about WWII’s great Patriotic War while combating manifestations of Nazism.”
