Amman: Fourth round of Iran-US talks to be held on Sunday
Omani Foreign Minister Announces Date for Fourth Round of Iran-US Talks
According to a report by the English section of webangah News agency,citing Mehr News Agency adn Al Jazeera,Iran and the US have so far held three rounds of indirect talks mediated by Oman.The timing for the fourth round of negotiations has now been confirmed.
Oman’s Foreign Minister, Badr al-Busaidi, stated that his country will host the next round of indirect talks between Iran and the US.
In a post on his personal account on X (formerly Twitter),al-Busaidi wrote: “The fourth round of indirect talks between Iran and the US,hosted in Muscat,will take place on Sunday.”
He added that the timing was persistent after consultations and coordination with officials in Tehran and Washington.
Previously, American officials had made conflicting statements regarding Washington’s demands from Tehran during these negotiations.
The islamic Republic of Iran has repeatedly emphasized that talks are the only way to bring clarity to its nuclear program, stressing that Tehran will never halt its enrichment activities.
