Shabak claim about arrest of an Israeli on charges of spying for Iran
According to a report by the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency and Al Jazeera, Israel’s Internal Security Service (Shin Bet) alleged that it had detained an individual on suspicion of committing security violations aimed at benefiting Iran.
The Hebrew newspaper Yedioth Ahronoth reported that the person arrested by Shin Bet “on suspicion of committing security violations in favor of Iran” is an israeli citizen who allegedly transmitted information that coudl jeopardize the security of the Zionist regime.
Shin Bet has not yet released further details regarding the identity of the detainee.
These claims by Shin Bet are not new. the security officials of the Zionist regime periodically arrest Israelis under accusations of espionage for Iran to cover up their own failures and incompetence and divert attention from domestic dissent.
