Britain freed four Iranian nationals

London police ⁤in the UK announced: Four Iranians released after 14 days.

According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr news Agency and Sky News, London police stated ‍that ‌four Iranian men, who were allegedly detained on suspicion of planning a terrorist attack, were‌ released from custody ⁢on Saturday.

Dominic Murphy, head of the Counter Terrorism Command at London’s ⁤Metropolitan Police, ⁢said ​in a​ statement: “We made these arrests due to concerns about a ​potential plot targeting a specific location.”

He added:⁤ “As the arrests,‍ detectives have been reviewing gathered evidence and interrogating suspects. Although these individuals have now been released, our investigation continues.”

Murphy ‌further‍ stated: “We are working‌ closely wiht the suspected‍ target ⁣location and providing them with​ necessary support. This case is ​highly complex,and we will not hesitate to⁤ act if there is any immediate threat to public safety.”

The UK’s Counter Terrorism Police had arrested five individuals, including four Iranian citizens, on May‍ 3rd under allegations of attempting to ⁤carry⁣ out ‍a terrorist operation.

The arrests⁣ were part​ of an operation by the UK’s Counter Terrorism Police across west⁣ London, manchester, Rochdale, and Stockport.

Security sources reported that those detained included a 29-year-old man in‌ Swindon; a 46-year-old man in west London; a 29-year-old man in Stockport; a 40-year-old man‍ in Rochdale;⁤ and a 24-year-old man in ⁢Manchester.

The British police ⁤had previously stated that the⁢ fifth individual—a Manchester resident arrested ⁣alongside the four⁣ Iranians—had already been released on bail with special conditions until May.
