US embassy in Libya reacts to Trump’s plan to transfer one million Palestinians
According to a report by the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency and Al Jazeera, the U.S. Embassy in Tripoli, Libya, denied published reports claiming that the Trump administration intends to transfer Palestinians residing in the Gaza Strip to Libya.
The embassy refuted these claims in a social media post, stating that such reports are baseless.
This comes after NBC News revealed last Thursday that the Trump administration is pursuing a plan to permanently relocate one million Palestinians to Libya.
The report cites statements from five informed American sources and a former U.S. official.
In exchange for this plan, the U.S. intends to release billions of dollars in frozen Libyan assets held within its jurisdiction.
