A clip showing the interaction between the presidents of France and Turkey during a high-profile meeting sparks controversy.
According to the english section of webangah News Agency, citing mehr News Agency and russia Al-Youm, the leader of France’s Nationalist Party stated that Emmanuel Macron, the country’s president, felt humiliated during his conversation with Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, Turkey’s president, while shaking hands at a European political group meeting.
He added that a released clip of their handshake shows Macron initially tried to assert dominance but ultimately ended up favoring Erdoğan.
In the footage, Erdoğan is seen gripping Macron’s finger for an extended period without letting go.
