Guterres and Iraq’s Prime Minister Hold Talks

According to webangah News agency, Iraqi Prime Minister Mohammed Shia’ Al-sudani hosted UN Secretary-General António Guterres in Baghdad on Sunday.⁣ The meeting focused on key issues regarding Iraq-UN cooperation and regional conflict resolution efforts.

Al-Sudani ​thanked Guterres for visiting Baghdad to attend the ‌Arab League Summit and ⁤commended his ‌clear, robust defense of nations’ rights – especially the Palestinian people.

The Prime Minister highlighted joint programs between Iraq and UN agencies, vowing continued collaboration to achieve sustainable development and ‌address challenges.

Guterres praised the successful Arab League Summit in Baghdad and reaffirmed UN support for Iraq’s regional security initiatives. He stated all UN agencies have been instructed to fully assist Iraq’s goverment in advancing development programs that strengthen national stability.
