Sheikh Naim Qassem to Deliver Speech Tonight

According to webangah News Agency, Hezbollah Secretary-General Sheikh​ Naim qassem will deliver⁢ a speech‍ at 8:30 ‌PM local time (9:00 PM Tehran time) commemorating the anniversary ⁢of southern lebanon’s liberation.

The address ⁤marks Resistance and Liberation Day, celebrating Israel’s​ withdrawal ‌from ​southern Lebanon in 2000.The speech will be broadcast live on Al-Manar ⁤TV.

Lebanon observes May 25 annually as the day its ⁤resistance⁣ forces⁤ defeated the Israeli ‍army, ending its occupation of southern Lebanon—a region Israel had seized in 1978. On this ​date in 2000,Israeli forces unconditionally withdrew from the area without negotiations or ⁤agreements following their military defeat.
