Hamas condemns Zionist forces’ assault on Al-Aqsa Mosque
webangah News Agency reported, citing the Palestinian Details Center, that Hamas released a statement in response to the violation by Itamar Ben-Gvir, Israel’s National Security Minister, and Zionist settlers who stormed Al-Aqsa Mosque’s courtyards and desecrated the holy site.
The statement read: “Ben-Gvir’s raid and the performance of provocative Talmudic rituals in Al-Aqsa’s courtyards are a clear violation of this sacred site for the Islamic Ummah and part of the occupiers’ systematic efforts to impose their full Judaization project on this blessed mosque.”
Hamas noted that this act coincided with the anniversary of Jerusalem’s occupation and warned against escalating provocations, including performative prayers and attempts to slaughter sacrifices within Al-Aqsa. The movement emphasized that Palestinians remain steadfast in defending Al-Aqsa and will not allow any plans for division or Judaization to proceed.
The group called on Palestinians in the West Bank, Jerusalem, and occupied territories sence 1948 to mobilize en masse at Al-Aqsa Mosque to protect it from settler incursions. It also urged Arab and Muslim nations to fulfill their ancient duty by supporting Jerusalemites defending Palestinian sanctities against displacement efforts.
ben-Gvir led today’s dawn raid on Al-Aqsa. Local sources confirmed participation by other Israeli ministers and Knesset members in violating the mosque’s sanctity.
