Hamas Condemns Settlers’ Entry into Al-Aqsa Mosque
The Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) issued a statement denouncing the large-scale attacks by settlers into Al-aqsa Mosque’s courtyards today, stating these actions-conducted under heavy protection from occupying forces and involving provocative Talmudic rituals-constitute a new crime and a violation of the sanctity of the holy site. webangah News Agency reported.
The statement emphasized that these escalating assaults are part of pre-planned Judaization schemes, orchestrated by what Hamas called the “fascist occupying cabinet” in Jerusalem. These efforts aim to erase the city’s Arab identity and assert control over Al-Aqsa Mosque.
Hamas called on Palestinians in the West Bank, Jerusalem, and occupied territories to intensify resistance against what it described as fascist occupation plans targeting their land and holy sites. The group urged mass presence at Al-Aqsa to thwart settlers’ attempts to enforce temporal and spatial division of the sacred compound.
The statement demanded immediate action from Arab and Islamic nations, the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, and the Arab League to confront “aggressive occupation measures” in Jerusalem and al-Aqsa, and also to halt what it termed a “comprehensive genocidal war” against Palestinians.
