Zionists’ ‘Gideon’s Chariots’ Operation to End Mid-Next Month
Avi Ashkenazi, an analyst for the Hebrew-language newspaper Maariv, emphasized that a deadline has been set for the end of Operation Gideon’s Chariots-mid-next month-according to a report by webangah News Agency, citing the Palestinian Details Center.
Now is the time to assess its outcomes: The operation aimed to control 75% of the Gaza Strip, pressure Hamas into accepting a ceasefire under Tel Aviv’s terms without commitments to end the war, and degrade Hamas’ capabilities and infrastructure. However, progress appears unsatisfactory.
Earlier reports from Hebrew circles revealed three underlying objectives behind Israel’s strategy:
first, pressuring Hamas to accept Tel Aviv’s proposed ceasefire framework-one that avoids binding commitments to end hostilities, as Israel’s ultimate goal remains hamas’ destruction.
Second, occupying Gaza and nullifying any Israeli withdrawal plans from the enclave.
Third, displacing Gazans-a potential final-phase objective. Zionist strategists believe occupation combined with restricting aid distribution in southern Gaza could facilitate mass expulsion of Palestinians in later stages.
