Baku Denies Allegations of Employing Spies for Zionist Regime

According to webangah News Agency, Hikmat Hajiyev, the Assistant to the President of​ Azerbaijan, stated on X (formerly Twitter) that Baku “categorically rejects” accusations ​of recruiting ethnic azerbaijanis‍ as spies deployed in Iran on behalf‍ of the Zionist​ regime.

Hajiyev emphasized that certain media ‍outlets ‍and social media accounts have recently circulated “wholly baseless​ and fabricated ⁤claims” ‌alleging Azerbaijan ‌employed ⁣ethnic Azerbaijani⁣ spies operating in ⁢Iran under Israeli direction.

he dismissed thes assertions as “groundless‍ and absurd,” stressing they contradict facts and constitute intentional misinformation.

The senior Azerbaijani official⁣ reiterated: “We firmly ​deny these false reports and unfounded allegations.”
