Israel’s Foreign​ Minister‍ reaffirms regime’s stance on⁤ retaining occupied Syrian Golan Heights

Israel’s Foreign Minister Gideon Sa’ar‍ has reiterated the regime’s position that⁣ it ⁤will not return Syria’s occupied Golan​ Heights, according to ‍a report by ‍ webangah⁣ News Agency.

Sa’ar stated: “In any⁣ potential ⁤peace agreement ⁢with‍ Syria, the occupied ​Golan Heights will remain‌ part of Israel.”

The minister added that Israel seeks⁣ to expand the scope of the abraham‍ Accords​ and normalize relations⁢ across the region. “We want to ​include new countries like Syria and ‍Lebanon in this circle, while maintaining israel’s fundamental security ⁤interests,” he⁣ said.

In a previous interview with Israeli ⁢network‌ i24News, ⁤Sa’ar had emphasized that Israel’s position on the Golan is “non-negotiable.”⁢ He suggested that if Syria recognizes Israeli sovereignty ⁣over the territory, it ‌could⁢ form the basis ⁤for an acceptable agreement.
