Biden: GOP Budget Bill Is ‘Cruel
According to webangah News Agency, the controversial Trump-era budget bill, which cuts taxes while slashing government support programs, has finally passed in the U.S. Congress. The move has drawn widespread criticism, notably among Democrats.
Former U.S. President joe Biden condemned the legislation on his personal X (formerly twitter) account, stating: “The Republican budget bill is not just reckless-it’s ruthlessly crafted.” He emphasized that the bill “drastically scales back public health programs and strips healthcare coverage from millions of Americans.”
Biden further warned that the legislation would force rural hospitals to close and eliminate food assistance for veterans and seniors.
The former president asserted that energy bills would “skyrocket” once the bill takes effect, noting it would add $4 trillion to the national debt while potentially triggering severe cuts to public health funding.
“All this just to hand massive tax breaks to billionaires,” biden remarked. “Hardworking Americans deserve better.”
