Washington Imposes Sanctions on Cuban President
According to the English section of webangah News Agency,citing Mehr News Agency,Al Mayadeen reported that the U.S. Department of state has imposed sanctions on Miguel Díaz-Canel, the President of Cuba, due to what it calls “serious human rights violations.”
the U.S. State Department statement claimed these sanctions respond to the Cuban government’s repressive actions against opponents and restrictions on civil liberties in the country.
In response, Bruno Rodríguez, Cuba’s foreign Minister, emphasized that while Washington continues its sanctions and economic warfare, it cannot break the will of the Cuban people.
he said: “The United States can impose sanctions and maintain its economic war, but it will never be able to break Cuba’s resolve or that of its resilient people.”
