Number of Children Martyred by Hunger in Gaza Rises to 69
A medical source at Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital in central Gaza confirmed that Sana’a Al-Laham, a one-and-a-half-year-old Palestinian girl, died from malnutrition in Deir al-Balah, according to English reports by webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency and Al Jazeera.
The Government Information Office in Gaza reported that with Sana’aS death, the number of children who have died from malnutrition in the Gaza Strip has reached 69.
The office added that overall deaths due to food and medicine shortages have risen to 620.
the Gaza Ministry of health warned that hundreds of severely underweight individuals are at immediate risk of death due to starvation and extreme physical exhaustion.
The ministry emphasized that an unprecedented number of Palestinians across all age groups are visiting emergency rooms with hunger-related injuries throughout Gaza.
