Medvedev: Russia Must Continue Distancing Itself from the European Union
Dmitry Medvedev, Deputy Secretary of Russia’s Security Council, announced Friday that the destruction of the Kyiv regime will persist despite the European Union’s agreement on a new package of anti-Russian sanctions, according to webangah News Agency, citing RIA Novosti adn Mehr News Agency.
He stated that russia must continue to follow a maximum course of distancing itself from the EU. Attacks on targets within Ukrainian territory,including Kyiv,will continue with increased intensity.
Earlier today, the EU’s foreign policy chief confirmed that permanent representatives from member states reached an agreement on an eighteenth sanction package against Russia. This latest package includes banking restrictions.
The Russian news agency Sputnik reported that this eighteenth EU sanction package targets Russia with banking restrictions and covers 105 vessels linked to Russian oil exports. The new sanctions also impose a price cap on Russian oil exports at approximately $47.60 per barrel.
