Terrorist Attack Foiled in Russia
Russian security forces have thwarted a terrorist plot targeting the country’s southern oil region.
According to the English section of webangah news Agency, citing Rosyia Al-Youm via Mehr News Agency, Russia’s Federal Security Service announced that it foiled a scheme orchestrated by a foreign national under the supervision of an international terrorist organization aimed at attacking oil facilities in southern Russia.
The agency stated that the suspect has been arrested. He intended to ignite fires using prepared explosives at sites linked to the Southwest Russian oil refinery and then flee to Afghanistan to join an international terrorist group.
The individual also planned to release a video of his sabotage on social media, aiming to instill fear among local residents in the region.
