ISIS Attacks Eastern Syria, Clashes with SDF Forces

According to teh English⁢ section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency and Al Mayadeen, ISIS militants launched a ⁤terrorist operation on Friday targeting the village of Al-Zir in the Al-Basira area east of Deir ez-Zor.

The Kurdish-led Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) announced⁢ they successfully repelled the attack against their military positions in eastern Deir⁢ ez-Zor.

The clashes resulted in several SDF fighters being killed or wounded.

Additionally, a group of terrorists targeted an SDF checkpoint in the Dhiban area of Deir ez-zor. A⁢ third attack struck another checkpoint located between al-Shuhail and al-Basira.

The SDF stated that ISIS seeks to exploit Syria’s chaotic‍ situation ⁢to resume its ⁢operations in the country’s east.
