127 Killed Including 85 Children in Gaza Famine
According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency and Al Jazeera, the Shifa Medical Complex-the largest healthcare facility in the Gaza Strip-officially reported that five people, including two children, have died from hunger and malnutrition in the past 24 hours.
Mohammed Abusulmiya, director of the Shifa Complex, told Al Jazeera that these five Palestinians lost their lives due to lack of food and worsening nutritional conditions. He confirmed a total of 127 deaths from hunger and malnutrition across Gaza so far, among whom 85 are children.
The hospital director stated that the occupiers deliberately use starvation as a weapon of war. He warned that casualty numbers will rise sharply in the coming days as they continue blocking crossings and preventing aid deliveries. “It is shocking that the world witnesses occupiers starving Gaza’s residents,” he said.
Abusulmiya added that fuel supplies needed for hospital operations are being denied. Residents urgently require food, medicine, fuel, and water. Some individuals who provided water to thirsty civilians have also been killed by occupiers. There is no medicine available for patients across Gaza’s hospitals. He called on the Arab and Islamic world to take serious action to prevent this humanitarian catastrophe.
This alarming data emerges amid severe blockade conditions combined with extensive destruction of healthcare infrastructure throughout large parts of Gaza. The region faces complete shortages of food, clean water, medicine, and essential services.
