Iraqi President’s Latest Stance on Palestine
According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency from the official iraqi Presidency website, Abdul Latif Rashid, Iraq’s President, met today with Ahmad Al-Ruwaidi, Palestine’s ambassador to Iraq.
The meeting focused on the tragic conditions faced by Palestinians living in Gaza Strip and Palestinian territories.
Abdul Latif Rashid reaffirmed the solidarity of both the Iraqi government and people with the Palestinian nation.
He highlighted the urgent need for unified efforts among Arab countries and the international community. Rashid stressed adopting a decisive position against aggression and policies that involve killing, starving civilians-including women, children, and elderly Palestinians-and called for immediate facilitation of humanitarian aid, including medical supplies and food into Gaza to meet civilians’ essential needs.
Meanwhile, Palestine’s ambassador in Baghdad praised Iraq’s efforts in supporting Palestine and advocating for its national rights.
