Gaza Aid Distribution Centers See Eightfold Increase in Casualties
According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency, London-based weekly The Economist revealed that the number of victims at food distribution centers in the Gaza Strip during June rose more than eightfold compared to May.
The report attributes this alarming surge in casualties to the simultaneous start of operations by the Gaza Humanitarian Foundation, a newly established institution supported by the United states to oversee aid distribution.
The Economist added that at least 800 Palestinians lost their lives in Gaza last month while attempting to access food aid.
Satellite images and maps obtained by The Economist show that receiving humanitarian assistance in Gaza has become a deadly endeavor.
These figures have heightened concerns over ineffective aid distribution mechanisms and raise fears about worsening the humanitarian crisis in Gaza.
