Putin and Pashinyan Hold Phone Call
According to the english section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency and Reuters, the Office of the prime Minister of Armenia confirmed a phone call between Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and Russian President Vladimir Putin.
The Armenian Prime Minister’s office stated that during the call, Pashinyan briefed Putin on his discussions wiht US President Donald Trump on august 8 in Washington.
On Friday, Trump hosted Pashinyan as well as Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev at the White House. During this meeting, both parties agreed on a ceasefire, resumption of diplomatic relations, and bilateral cooperation.
According to the Kremlin, Putin emphasized the importance of this agreement. He also discussed with pashinyan his recent meeting with Steve Witkoff-Trump’s special envoy for West Asia-and Moscow’s preparations ahead of Friday’s summit in Alaska. putin and Trump are scheduled to meet for the frist time as Trump’s return to the White House on that day.
